I don't want to pay until the audio has been delivered.  What will you do for me?
  • I can appreciate your concerns.  However, like most other internet purchases, payment must be
    received before the product is delivered.  Arrangements can easily be made to have you on
    speaker phone while the audio is being recorded.  If you would like to arrange a Net-30 account,
    please refer below.
I paid with my credit card, but I was not prompted for the script.
  • Please fax or email your script as soon as it is ready, and the audio will be delivered via mp3
    ASAP!  
Can I have you read my script in a certain way?  
  • Yes.  If you require the announcer to read your script in a particular fashion or in a particular
    way, we'll arrange for you to be on speaker phone while your script is being recorded.  
How will the audio be delivered to me?
Do I own the audio once I pay for it.
  • Yes.  You own it.  You may use it for as long as you wish, without limitation or license.  
Can you guarantee me exclusivity in my market?
  • No.  Market exclusivity cannot be guaranteed.  If you would like to hire Scott Michaels
    Entertainment on a market exclusive basis, please contact us to discuss terms.
Can I buy a half-page or a single liner?  
  • Yes.  Please visit our "Products" page for alternatives.
What if I need something re-recorded or changed.  Will you re-record a portion of the audio?
  • If the change is because of a mistake that I made, or a mispronunciation, then I will re-record the
    affected portion at no charge to you.  If you have changed your mind, or have reconsidered your
    script once it has been recorded, then you will need to pay an additional fee.  Visit our "Products"
    page for alternatives.  I am always willing to arrange for you to be on speaker-phone while I
    record your audio, so if your script is especially delicate you may want to take advantage of that
    option.
Can I set up a Net 30 Account, or pay by invoice?
  • Customers who arrange market exclusivity are sent monthly invoices, those who purchase items
    without contracts (such as any item sold on this website) cannot be billed via invoice.  A copy of
    an invoice can be provided, if needed.
Do you offer a barter program?
  • A barter program is available.  Please contact us for more information.  (A barter program offers
    radio or TV stations the opportunity to enjoy the products offered by Scott Michaels
    Entertainment in exchange for commercial airtime or promotional consideration.  This enables
    stations with limited cash-flow, but abundant airtime to have no out of pocket expense.)
Most of the audio samples have music and sound effects in them, but my audio is voice only.  
Can you put music in my audio?
  • I have several music licensing companies that I work with.  So, this is an option.  Please
    understand, however, that you will not own the music, you will license the music for  a certain
    amount of time.  Therefore, the portion of the audio that is exclusively my voice is yours, but the
    music remains owned by the music publisher.  It can cost several hundred dollars to license a
    selection of music.  In most circumstances, it is more affordable to arrange to have your local
    radio or TV station mix the audio with music they license for this purpose.  
What software do you recommend I use to play your audio files?
  • For simple audio playback on your computer Windows Media Player is the most convenient and
    easy to use.  For simple editing and mixing Goldwave is very popular.  For more complex sound
    editing Adobe Audition combines power and ease of use.  
Is paypal secure?
  • Yes.  Paypal has long been the standard by which consumers make credit card payments on the
    Internet.  For more information on the steps taken to ensure your security, please visit their

Do I need to sign up for a PayPal account to use my credit card?
  • No.  You may pay with your credit card without signing up for a PayPal account.
Can I use my personal credit card?
  • Yes.  Individuals can purchase any item listed here.
Do you take credit card payments over the phone?
  • We currently do not take credit card payments over the telephone.  When your purchase is made
    online through paypal, you work directly with an automated system that approves and charges
    your credit or debit card.  There is no human interaction.  To take your credit card number over
    the telephone would require the physical recording of your credit card number onto paper, and
    then entering it into the computer.  This additional step creates an opportunity for your personal
    information to be violated, and to be honest, that makes me uncomfortable.  I feel it is much more
    private and thus, safer, to enter your credit card information online into paypal's secure website.
